In continuance with our endeavour to promote entrepreneurship and startups in India, Orios Venture Partners organized the first edition of #FindingMisfits, the startup selection event that provides a platform for startups to present their unique and disruptive ideas to top investors in the country. More than 400 startups across the nation applied for the inaugural year theme — Targeting the next 300 million internet users in India — out of which 17 shortlisted startups got a chance to present in front of the esteemed jury. The top three startups received funding of up to $1 million and a comprehensive springboard from us.
The event also witnessed an insightful Fireside chat between Growthstory’s founder, K Ganesh and Orios, Managing Partner, Rehan Yar Khan, in addition to several curated workshops and sessions from entrepreneurs and senior leaders from the venture ecosystem, such as Sandeep Laxman, Startup Evangelis, Amazon AWS; Pavan Cheruvu, Program Director, Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator; Sanjana Saksena, Boring Brands; Aakash Goel, Partner, Trifecta Capital and Abhay Tandon, Program Lead, Target Accelerator.
